Main Features

DAS(Direct-attached storage) Mode

USB Connection: In USB connection mode, you can connect the SSM-F100 to your computer using the provided USB3.0 cable, essentially turning the drive into a Direct-Attached Storage(DAS) drive.

Noted:

1. While connected to a computer, the wireless function is turned off;

2. The default hard drive format is EXFAT, you can use it directly on Windows and Mac. You can format the drive to NTFS if you use it on Windows, please don’t format to others.

NAS(Network attached storage) Mode

Connect the SSM-F100 to the power supply and lan cable to the router, the blue led indicator light up.Then you can access it on your smart phone and computer.

Note: In NAS mode, SSK drive can work without internet, but can not work independently, please attach it to a Router to have the network.

In order to obtain the IP address and work normally, please connect SSK drive to Router directly, please don’t connect to others such as network hubs ect.

Multi-OS Compatible & Transfer Data Between Different OS Devices

Perfect support for IOS, Android, Windows, Mac multiple operating systems, it solves the problem of fast data transmission between the different OS(operating systems) that may be in use.

The SSKCloud App is available on the “App Store” and “Google Play”. (For IOS, Android phones, Tablet/ PC). For Windows and Mac OS computer, we have stored the file App in the hard drive, please find the folder name: “App”, and then transfer the appropriate file to your computer and install accordingly.

Installation and Operation Tips

1. Please download and install the SSKCloud App on “Apple store” or “Google Play” for mobile devices;

2. The software for PC/Mac is on the drive itself. Just use it as an external drive to copy the binaries onto your system and install the ”app”. Or you can check our website to see if have the newer version.Note: When you download the SSKCloud App from our website, please don’t use the Google Chrome Browser, please use other Browsers to download. Thank you.

3 . For computer, You can also MAP the SSK HDD and / or a USB device connected to the Host Port to Windows Explorer on a PC or to a Mac using the Samba Protocol. SSKCloud software has addressed to access Samba. Please Click : ” Samba Management”, it will switch to Samba interface automatically, so you don’t need to enter the IP address and password manually.

4. Once mapped on a PC or Mac you will find a series of folders already setup under \share_sda1. The device comes with a bunch of “default” folders that you can’t delete (they are all “system folders”). These must be left on the device as they are but you may freely add additional folders here and as sub folders under the already setup folders. You also can use your PC or Mac to read /write / delete files in these folders that will be accessible on the PC or Mac as well as from a phone or tablet connected to the SSK locally or remotely.

5. For Mac OS, it doesn’t support Time Machine backup wirelessly, only can work on USB mode. But the SSKCloud App supports Real-time synchronous update and backup of designated folders on both Mac and Windows Computer.

6. The hard drive have private area and public area to protect private data, but it doesn’t support encrypting every folder.
