Important Note: This splicing block kit is for 1/4 inch wide tape only. It will not work on audio cassette tape, 8MM tape, microcassette tape, or any tape larger or smaller than 1/4″ tape.

TMES25NA is a professional aluminum alloy splicing block kit for 1/4 inch wide recording tape with TME’s proprietary center tape groove configuration to hold your tape in place for accurate splicing. Most blocks that are made today are sloppy and do not hold your tape in place resulting in a splicing session that is more like herding cats than creative audio! Every TME block is hard anodized for a lifetime of reliable service. Anodizing prevents corrosion of the aluminum surface, and the surface is nearly as hard a case-hardened steel. This is the same proces used by Editall. These are the same series blocks made for NASA and the Library of Congress. There are two cross cuts, one at 45 degrees and one at 90 degrees. This professional block comes with one 82 foot roll of TME professional splicing tape and one USA made GEM Stainless Steel Media Blade (GEM is stamped in the blade where you hold it) to cut your tape, along with illustrated EZ instructions. There is a test strip of leader tape in each block’s center groove which should be removed before use.
